Ms. Diana Tan Ching Jean is a Partner at Messrs Phak & Associates, where she heads the Conveyancing Department, specialising in property law, probate and administration, banking and finance, and complex conveyancing transactions.
She graduated with an Honours degree from Multimedia University in 2008 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2010. She began her legal career at Messrs Shahrizat Rashid & Lee, gaining a strong foundation in conveyancing and banking documentation for a wide range of financial institutions.
Her practice covers a broad spectrum of conveyancing matters, including sub-sale and project transactions, corporate and Islamic banking advisory, tenancy and lease documentation, and acquisitions involving regulatory restrictions. She has extensive experience in handling developer projects, advising on legal compliance, documentation, and pre-launch structuring.
Prior to joining Messrs Phak & Associates, she practised at Messrs Amir Faezal Norzela & Chong and Messrs Tee Bee Kim & Partners, where she developed expertise in consumer banking, project conveyancing, and team management. She later served as a Senior Associate at Messrs SP Hew & Co, advising on land law, complex property transactions, and acquisitions involving wound-up developers. She frequently collaborates with bankers, developers, and legal professionals, managing teams to ensure efficient execution of high-volume transactions.
She was appointed as a Commissioner for Oaths by the Chief Justice of the Federal Court, Malaysia Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, effective 1 August 2024, and as a Notary Public by the Attorney General of Malaysia, Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar in 2025.
